Because the wind and weather prospects were not good, I decided to go
to the closer, smaller Lake Robinson, rather than drive all the way
to Lake Hartwell.
But by noon a thunderstorm passed to the south and winds came through
of approx 12-15 mph. I did beam reaches back and forth across the
lake and then tacked back to the launch dock. By 2:30 pm I'd logged
11 miles. The wind calmed down so I took a break, then got back on
the lake in winds of 6-7 mph.
