folks it's official! We are now claiming the largest sail area ever to have been sailed round a full triangular course in a yellow PDR. Our previous record, was of course held in a white boat, and with a measly 85 - ft or so.

This time, with the boats resplendent in their new glossy paint, and a modest early morning breeze, I managed to cajole Storer into.... well actually he got me out of bed so I could take the photos... but there you have it.

Take one 105 sq ft mainsail and spars from a Goat Island Skiff, and stick them on a PDR and wallah!!! a match made in heaven.

The boat balanced beautifully, and in retrospect Mik didn't need the dose of valium before going out, Unfortunately it's a professionally built sail, so doesn't qualify for racing under the Oz rules subset, but with our new polytarp suite nearly finished, we'll keep our powder dry for next year!
