Largest Sail used on a PD
This record has 2 categories:
Upwind / Downwind is is about flying the largest amount of sail on a PD, and having all the sail area be used & pulling both upwind and down wind. The records will probably be made with special rigs created just for this records, and not practical for casual sailing or racing.
Downwind Only part of this recored is for total sail area flown, but no requirement on going upwind. This will allow for counting of spinnakers and other sails used in combination with main sails.

Record Rules Upwind / Downwind:
1 - Boat must be setup in class legal configuration.
2 - Must use sail(s) to sail 1/2 mile away from launch point, and sail back.
3 - All sail area which is counted in record, must be used both ways.
4 - If using multiple sails, they must not touch each other while sailing (OK to touch when tacking, luffing, or at connection points - like the tack, clew, or a lace along the luff etc)
5 - Not allowed to use paddle or human power to control boat, only allowed to sail her.
Record Rules Downwind Only:
Same as above, except don't need to meet rule #2.
