Global Match Race Circuit
Organized by Paul Haynie
The idea is that you will race your PD against other boats which have a handicap rating (including other PD's), and based on how well you do on corrected time in that race, you will get points here. You also get points for each race even if you come in dead last on corrected time, so the more you race, the more points you get. Our Portsmouth rating is 140, you can see our rating and others at USSailing.org
Season
The season starts the day after the PD World Championship Race, and ends on the next PD World Championship. (and includes the results from it also). Then the next season starts the day after that, and so on.
Rules
1 - Your boat must be setup in class legal configuration
2 - Races must be typical round the bouy sailing type racing
3 - Multiple races in the same day, or series of days at one event will be considered a regatta, and your placement in those races shall be averaged to one placing & coresponding points
4 - OK to self-organize the race, do not have to be officially sanctioned by a club or association, but the race should be conducted in a typical honest fashion.
5 - There is no limit to the number of boats entered in the race, can be as little as 2
6 - Races against other PD's is OK
7 - If you race in the season's final world championship, you will get points for your placement in that race also.
8 - Races should be publicly announced ahead of time (like post note to discussion group), to alert others incase they want to participate.
