For some people, a primary consideration will be to have a minimal size and weight.
As per the rules, the lower 10" of the hull must conform to the standard profile.
Just so happens if you make a hull that is only 10" high, it will be 7' 9" long.
This will make it short enough that you should easily be able to stand it upright in the garage, or some other room that has an 8' ceiling.
The biggest problem with making such a short hull, is that it will have a very minimal freeboard and every wave is likely to break over the bow and flood the cockpit.
One solution to this is to make the cockpit so small, that even if flooded, it won't add that much weight to the boat.
You can do this by putting 4 bulkheads around a small opening in the center where you put your feet.
Another option would be to deck the foot well, and have a drain to the side.
